Music, Art, & Drama Camps
Dive In This Summer!
This summer, United Methodist churches in Beaumont are teaming up to offer creative, faith-filled camps for kids. Together, we will be diving deeper into God’s world and God’s Word—and everyone will be excited to DIVE IN!
We are thrilled to offer two camp options for children and families:
July 20-24 — Mini Music, Art, & Drama Camp: $50 per camper
July 27-31 — MAD Camp: $75 per camper
Camp fees include the script, downloadable music, camp t-shirt with all campers’ names on the back, snacks, art supplies, materials for building set pieces, costumes, daily treasure box prizes, pizza for Family Night, and more. Scholarships are available.
Family Night
At 6:00 pm on Tuesday, July 28, all campers and their families are invited to MAD Camp Family Night at First United Methodist Church in Beaumont. We will share pizza and work together to build set pieces for our community performance. Because we will be using paint and other messy supplies, everyone should wear work clothes.
Community Performance
Our community performance of Under God’s Sea in 3D! will be held at 6:30 pm on Friday, July 31 at First United Methodist Church in Beaumont.
Mini MAD Campers are invited to join us for a dress rehearsal at 9:00 am on Friday, July 31, and they should be picked up at 12:00 pm.
All campers should return to the church by 6:00 pm that evening so we can warm up and be ready for the performance at 6:30 pm. Families are encouraged to invite friends and loved ones to attend. A reception and art gallery will follow the performance.
Auditions for MAD Campers
Campers entering 1st through 6th grades will be contacted later this spring about auditioning for speaking and singing roles. We encourage every MAD Camper to audition, even if they are not interested in being assigned a specific part. The audition process is fun, encouraging, and designed to help every camper grow in confidence and excitement ahead of camp.
