This Sunday we begin a new sermon series in the book of Ezra called Welcome Back. In our first message, “The Same, But Different,” we’ll look at what happens when God’s people finally return home—only to discover that home is not exactly as they remember it. Using Ezra 3 and a little inspiration from Welcome Back, Kotter, we’ll think about what it means to come back to church, to honor what has been, and to trust what God is building next. Sometimes coming home means returning to something familiar, but discovering that God is doing something new.
